Lube Mobile's apprenticeship program runs in most states and territories with several entry periods per year. Every successful apprentice is paired up with one of our experienced techs throughout their apprenticeship period to ensure they hit the ground running once qualified.
A Lube Mobile apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to work for a market leader within the automotive industry. It is also a great way to get a head start in a chosen career or to re-train for the career you’ve always wanted. It combines paid on‑the-job training with formal studies completed at TAFE. About the role
Lube Mobile trains apprentices to be mobile and store‑based mechanics.
The apprenticeship program develops highly skilled technicians that will excel in the servicing, diagnosis, and repair of modern motor vehicles along with providing exciting and challenging career opportunities.

Working with our apprenticeship partner TAFE, every apprentice receives the highest quality training, and the opportunity to gain experience in professional workshops and with other Lube Mobile mechanics.

Requirements
- This opportunity is available to people of working age. You will need:
- Pass marks in Year 10 and/or successful completion of automotive VET studies.
- Training and a Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology.
- Valid driver’s licence or eligible to get licence in first year.
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing, interview and medical.

What are the normal working hours?
Lube Mobile employs mechanics on a standard 38-hour full-time work week with flexibility for either a 4‑ or 5‑day work arrangement. Weekends are rostered as part of a rotating roster, but Sundays are typically off.
Our first appointment has an arrival time of 8.00am through to our last arrival time between 2.00 and 4.00 pm (dependant on workload).
We are closed on Christmas and Boxing Day, New Years Day, Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday and Anzac Day. However on other national or local public holidays we are open with a limited crew.
Do I need my own tools and equipment?
You do not need to bring your own tools if you work as a Mobile Mechanic with Lube Mobile in Australia — every Lube Mobile technician is provided with everything required by the company to perform their work.
Each mechanic operates from a fully stocked, company-supplied van outfitted with modern servicing equipment and tools to perform a wide range of services — from log book servicing and oil changes to diagnostics and minor repairs
What do I get?
As a new hire you’ll hop into a fully maintained van that’s already set up with everything needed — hand tools, diagnostic gear, supplies, and more. No need to purchase a tool kit yourself — Lube Mobile handles it all. Your focus is on providing top‑quality service on the road, not collecting or replacing tools. You'll also get a uniform, phone or tablet and access to client with no upfront cost for tools.
How much will I earn at Lube Mobile?
Lube Mobile offers a great wage package and bonus system, ongoing technical training programs, Genuine Safety Priorities, the use of our van to and from work, a great team environment with plenty of back-up, and the security with a solid company which has been trading since 1982!
The expected base salary for a Mobile Mechanic at Lube Mobile is roughly A$73,000/year, based on advertised listings. With performance bonuses, total earnings can reach well over A$100,000/year.

- • You're not left to fend for yourself with any problems. Help is just a phone call away. Someone comes to help or it's solved with a call. Either way it's solved.
