How much does a Lube Mobile tyre service cost?

We always strive to give you a fixed price up front and let you be in control of costs.

Once we've arrived at your location our tyre experts will thoroughly inspect your tyres including the wheel hub, tyre sidewall and tread pattern. We will then provide you with an itemised quote of the work required to fix or replace your tyres, and will not proceed without your approval. Payment needs to be made at the completion of any tyre service unless new tyres need to be ordered, in which case we will require a deposit on the day of our first visit.

All tyre service and repair costs will differ based on the make and model of your car and the tyre brand preferred if different from your existing tyres. Showing you an itemised job quote before we start keeps you in control of costs and because you can see the work being done at your location, you can ask your mechanic questions directly.

Flat Tyre Service

Generally, when you have a flat tyre, you know it is going to cost you. Perhaps not financially, as often flat tyres are cheap to repair (especially when compared to a brand-new tyre), but mainly in time. The time it takes to find a reputable business that will do a good job, and the time it takes to either deliver your car to the shop or as you wait around while the puncture repair is completed. All of this can make a small problem all the more difficult to deal with. Luckily Lube Mobile has a solution so this problem is no longer the issue it once was. You can book in today to have your flat tyre repaired fast.

At Lube Mobile, we offer a flat tyre service that is quick and easy. We are a convenient solution to an annoying problem. With vans operating in all major cities (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth), and most smaller cities and towns. To see if there is a Lube Mobile tyre service operating in your area just enter your postcode into our booking form and the tyre size you need. Where to find flat tyre service near me?

To find a flat tyre service that will fix your tyres, you have a few different options. The first is to wait until you drive past one, but this will mean either driving on your flat tyre or changing the tyre and then seeing if you can locate a tyre shop in your area before you have another flat tyre. While that may seem easy once your tyre is changed it is quite common to forget that you need it done; then remembering later on when you have another flat tyre! The better option is to call Lube Mobile as your mobile tyre replacement specialists and we can come to wherever the car is located and take care of your flat tyre problems.

For a flat tyre service, you usually need to take your vehicle into a workshop and either leave the tyre (or your car) there while the puncture repair is being completed. At Lube Mobile, we are the mobile tyre service that comes to you. You can book in easily through our website and this will give you the option to choose a time and date that fits in with your current schedule. By offering a mobile service we are giving you the most convenient way to have your tyres repaired.

How much does a flat tyre service cost?

Lube Mobile and our team of mobile mechanics can repair your tyres at a location that is convenient for you, and have your car repaired and suitable for the road quickly and easily. The exact cost of any flat tyre service can rely on a few different factors. But for a general tyre repair, you can expect it to cost anywhere from $30-$50 depending on the severity of the puncture.

When you need a tyre repair, you can also consider the remaining life on your tyre. If your flat tyre has less than 30% of the tread remaining, it may be more cost-effective to replace the tyre completely. When you call for a flat tyre service, we can advise you on the cost of the tyre replacement and compare to the price of a total replacement.

You can call on Lube Mobile to repair many punctured and damaged tyres. However, there are some instances when a tyre cannot be repaired. These are:

  • Sidewall damage - the side walls (and shoulder) of a tyre are a part of the internal support structure. When this is damaged the tyres are not able to accept the load of your car.
  • Large Punctures - if the damage to your tread is greater than 55mm it is too big and the air cannot be contained.
  • Punctures that caused internal damage - if you have a puncture caused by a large object or the car has been running on a fully deflated tyre for some time, then it may not be reparable.

Most tyre repairs are limited to punctures that occur in the central three-quarters of the tread pattern. Common causes for a puncture are nails and screws that have been left on the road or garage floor. If you regularly check your tyre pressures you can spot punctures early enough to have it repaired.

How do I book a Lube Mobile Tyre Fitting or Repair?

It's easy to book an experienced tyre technician that comes to you!

Frequently Asked Questions

No, a flat tyre cannot always be safely repaired. Repairs are usually possible if a puncture is under 6mm and located within the central tread area. However, punctures on the sidewall, large tears, or internal damage caused by driving on a deflated tyre require a replacement. Our mobile mechanics inspect your wheel onsite to determine if a flat tyre repair or a new tyre replacement is required.

Yes, a flat tyre can usually be repaired onsite if the puncture is in the main tread area and measures under 6mm. Punctures on the sidewall or structural internal damage require replacement. Our mobile technicians conduct a full inspection to perform a safe flat tyre repair or fit a new tyre at your location.

Yes, a puncture can cause long-term tyre damage if moisture enters the hole to rust internal steel belts, or if driving deflated causes hidden internal casing separation. Professional internal patch-plug repairs seal these layers completely. Book a mobile inspection online to preserve long-term tyre health.

You only need a replacement if the puncture is on the sidewall, larger than 6mm, or if internal structural belts were crushed while driving flat. Small tread punctures are easily patchable. Our mobile tyre technicians inspect your wheel on-location to determine if a simple tyre repair or new wheel is needed.

You should avoid driving on a flat tyre, as running on a deflated wheel destroys the internal rubber casing within a few hundred metres and can damage the metal rim. Pull over safely to a flat surface and book a mobile tyre technician to repair or replace your tyre on location.

A flat tyre can usually be repaired within 30 to 60 minutes once our technician arrives at your location. The process includes safety checks, demounting, puncture patching, and wheel re-balancing. Book an emergency roadside visit with our mobile mechanic team to get back on the road fast.

No, driving on a flat tyre is unsafe because it severely compromises vehicle braking, cornering stability, and handling control. Running on low pressure also permanently ruins internal tyre layers and risks rim deformation. Safely pull over and book a mobile technician via our mobile tyre fitting service to resolve the issue onsite.

A tyre goes flat due to sharp road debris punctures, faulty valve stems, rim seal leaks, or severe pothole impacts. Slow leaks or severe rubber wear also cause gradual pressure loss. Having a mechanic check your wheels during routine car servicing helps identify hidden air leaks before complete deflation happens.

If you get a flat tyre, safely pull over immediately and stop driving as soon as possible. Driving deflated destroys internal rubber casings and damages metal wheel rims. Once parked, arrange a mobile technician through our flat tyre repair service to inspect, patch, or replace your tyre on-location.

A tyre that continuously loses air often suffers from a slow leak caused by a faulty valve stem, a minor nail in the tread, or a corroded wheel rim breaking the bead seal. A technician can perform a pressure test at your location to locate hidden leaks and carry out an efficient tyre repair.
