Repair Tyres
At Lube Mobile, we repair tyres and there can be many reasons you need your tyres looked after by a professional team. It could be that you have a slow leak and you need to pump them up regularly, or that you noticed the tyres are wearing faster than you think they should. Any problems with your tyres and wheels can mean your tyres will not last as long as they should. With a complete set of four tyres costing nearly a thousand dollars (depending on the size and profile) getting them fixed and performing regular maintenance can save you money in the long run.
The tyres on your car are an important part of your vehicle. They are the object that touches the ground and connects you to the road. Having tyres that are not wearing properly, or under-inflated can mean that you’re not getting the right amount of control. This can easily result in an accident that could have otherwise been avoided.
Checking on your tyres should be completed at least once per month. An easy method to remind yourself is to nominate a date and complete your checks then. Go over your tyres and pick out any small rocks caught in the tread, then check the tyre pressures (you can use a tyre gauge for this, or the pump at your local servo), inspect the wearing pattern it should be even and on the middle of the tyre. You can keep track of your tyre pressures using a notepad or the calendar app on your phone. If you notice that your tyre pressures are consistently low, you may have a leak and should book with Lube Mobile and as we can repair tyres quickly and conveniently. Avoiding issues with your tyres are the best method to get the full amount of life out of them.
As Lube Mobile is your local mobile mechanic, we can come to your home and offer your car services and any car repairs you need, including tyre repairs and replacement. We are operating all over Australia, including major cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, and Canberra. If you're looking for tyre repair near me, Lube Mobile should be at the top of your list, as we can take the workshop to you.
How to repair tyre puncture?
Having a tyre puncture is never enjoyable. It can be an annoying surprise as you try to leave for work in the morning, or worse when you’re leaving for home after a hard day. They always seem to come at the worst time, and you know getting it fixed will take up some of your weekends. Luckily at Lube Mobile, we can fix your tyre puncture and repair tyres.
You can book in for tyre repairs through our website or by calling our customer service team on 13 30 32. As we come to you and take care of the problem, the fix will be easy and completed without interrupting your day. It doesn’t matter if the affected tyre is on the car, or you changed it out for the spare. If you’ve already replaced the tyre with the spare, we can put the freshly repaired tyre back on the car and your spare back in the boot. When you need help to repair tyres we can be there for you, and help save you some time..
How much does a tyre repair cost?
The exact cost to repair tyres can vary based on a few different reasons. This is usually the style of the tyre and how many punctures need to be filled. In some cases, a repair is not possible and the tyre must be replaced. If your tyre is relatively new this can be unfortunate news. If you’re lucky, the tyre was nearly at the end of its usable life and was due to be replaced soon anyway. For complete costs on any tyre repair, you can call us on 13 30 32, and we’ll let you know how much it will be.
Is it better to repair or replace a tyre?
For the answer to if it is better to repair or replace a tyre, you need to know how much ‘life’ the tyre has left. For example, if the tyre only has about 10% of tread left before it needs to be replaced, getting it repaired can cost you the most money. This is because you won’t get any value out of having the tyre repaired and you’re likely only about a month or two from needing to have it replaced anyway.
If the punctured tyre only has a small amount of tread left and you’re getting it replaced, odds are that you’ll need two tyres replaced, as the opposite tyre is most likely at about the same tread depth. However, if you’re not ready to replace both tyres you can opt for just changing the one tyre. We’ll pick the best combination for you so your car remains safe on the roads. If you're only getting one tyre replaced, try to get the same brand and tread pattern as the other tyres on your car. This means that they’ll perform in the same manner during different road conditions.
There are times that it’s not possible to repair tyres. This can depend on how the tyre has been punctured and if it has affected the internal workings of the tyre. For example, if the puncture is on the sidewall of the tyre, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced. The size of the damage can also be a factor if the hole is bigger than 55mm it will not be possible to repair. If you’re not sure you can call us on 1300 945 218, and we’ll let you know what can be done.
