What is a fusible link and what does it do?
A fusible link is like a special type of fuse that protects your car’s electrical system from serious damage.
If there’s a power surge or a short circuit, because the fusible link has a lower melting point, it "burns out" and in doing so stop the electricity from frying important parts like the battery or wiring. If it’s blown, your car might not start, or certain electrical parts may stop working.
