How long will tyres last?

When buying tyres from a mobile tyre service ‘near me’, you want to make sure you get tyres that will last a reasonable amount of time. At Lube Mobile we stock tyres that will fit many different cars; all the tyres we supply meet with Australian tyre safety standards. While there may be minor differences in tyre quality, and the exact longevity can be hard to pinpoint you can expect to get anywhere from 30,000km to 50,000km out of your tyres.

As the mobile tyre service ‘near me’, Lube Mobile recommends following a few simple checks to make sure your tyres last as long as possible. The first is keeping the tyres to the correct air pressures. We recommend checking your air pressure at least once per month (although you can do it more often if you like). When you have your tyres replaced through Lube Mobile, we can tell you the pressures they should be kept at, but if you need a reference you can check the sticker that’s usually located inside the driver's door. This will have the recommended tyre pressure on it. Almost all service stations offer free air, and you can check your tyre pressures using these.

The next most important maintenance task is to have a wheel alignment completed on your car at least once per year. You can check your wheel alignment by examining the tyres, if the wearing is mostly on the inside or outside of the tread it’s likely that your wheel alignment needs correction.
