• Replace Engine Oil
• Engine Oil Filter
• Replace air filter
• Replace Fuel Filter
• Check Carburettor/Throttle Body Condition And Security (Whichever is Applicable)
• Adjust idle speed and mixture (If Applicable)
• Inspect vacuum lines & Hoses
• Inspect Idle Stop Solenoid Operation (If Applicable)
• Check Operation of Fuel Injectors (If Applicable)
• Inspect Fuel Rail Condition & Security
• Inspect EFI Components For Security & Operation (If Applicable)
• Inspection Of Engine For Oil Leaks
• Load test battery
• Complete engine compression test
• Check tappets or lifters for noise & report
• Inspect emission control system
• Test operation of EGR Valve
• Inspect/enquire with client when timing belt was last replaced

Inspect and/or top up if required:

• Clutch & Brake Master Cylinder Fluid
• Power Steering Fluid
• Radiator Coolant Level
• Radiator Coolant Condition
• Windscreen Washers and fluid
• Horn, Lights and Wipers
• Drive Belts
• Battery Electrolyte Level
• Inspect battery terminals
• Test alternator voltage output under load
• Test Starter Motor Current Draw
• Test park neutral switch operation
• Check mounting of power supply cables
• Apply Tyre Shine
• Clean Dashboard
• Empty Ash Tray

Ignition System:

• Check colour and wear characteristics of old spark plugs and other associated ignition components
• Inspect ignition leads for security and wear or burn marks
• Replace spark plugs (Only replace Platinum tipped if due)
• Adjust spark plug gaps
• Check voltage output of ignition coil/coils
• Check ignition coil/coils for cracks or leaks
• Inspect main engine earth
• Check and adjust ignition timing to specifications (If applicable)

Cooling System Condition:

• Drain and replace coolant
• Inspect Radiator & Heater Cores
• Inspect Water Pump & Fan Clutch
• Inspect Heater & Radiator Hoses Inspect Heater Tap
• Inspect Welsh Plugs
• Inspect Hose Clamps Pressure Test Cooling System
• Inspect And Adjust Fan Belts

Under Car:

• Check all brakes
• Adjust handbrake
• Drain and replace brake fluid
• Check all shock absorbers/struts
• Check all steering components Lubricate steering stops
• Check security of all fuel hoses/pipes
• Check exhaust for security and leaks
• Check Tyres and pressures

Road Test:

• Check and report on vehicle for engine performance, braking, steering, suspension and operation of all accessories and lights.
